Why Hoops4Hope?
San Diego Workforce Partnership, RISE San Diego, and CONNECTING Hope are working together for the first ever Hoops4Hope event. Hoops4Hope is a community basketball tournament that is focused on building and strengthening community relations with young adults and City of San Diego entities, while also creating broader awareness and raising resources for the grass-roots organization CONNECTING Hope. CONNECTING Hope provides career training and opportunities for young African American and Latino men in Southeastern San Diego.
The community basketball tournament will consist of eight teams from a variety of City of San Diego and community organizations. All proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorship will go directly to CONNECTING Hope. Tickets are available through Eventbrite below, or at the door. $5 for youth and $8 for adults.
This event is part of the #OpportunitySD initiative in partnership with the San Diego Workforce Partnership, is focused on lowering youth disconnection, and creating opportunities for young adults in San Diego County.
