• Participants must for qualify for Free or Reduced-Price Lunches through their school.
• Participants must have at least one child or teen living in the home.
• Students agree to attend at least three virtual Library NExT Programs.
• Students agree to register for programs through SDPL Library Market and email Program Coordinator after attending program.
• Students will participate in after-program surveys.
• Students must participate in end of the quarter survey form via phone call.
• Students must not currently have access to a computer at home or household must be in need of an additional one.

This summer we will have nine Homework Centers available to help students build upon their math and reading skills and prevent the dreaded “Summer Slide”! Free homework assistance is available with our Tutor Learning Coordinators (TLCs) and open to all students.

2 Youth Employment Programs

Able-Disabled Advocacy seeks to assist young adults between the ages of 17-24 who desire to obtain jobs and education. We offer paid job training, employment opportunities, and high school diplomas to youth through our free and federally-funded, paid-training programs:

1. YouthBuild – a 23-week program which helps youth without high school diplomas gain their diploma, a work certificate in entry-level construction or technology, and connections to employment.

2. Career$mart – a 10-week paid-training program that connects high school graduates to employment. Youth also receive training in technology or construction.

Participants receive stipends during training and bus passes for those who need transportation to and from our location.YouthBuild
