Women’s Health Forum highlighting Uterine Fibroid Tumors

WHAT: San Diego Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host a Women’s Health Forum highlighting Uterine Fibroid Tumors. WHEN: April 7, 2018 10:00am-12:30pm WHERE: O’Farrell Charter School Hollis Gentry III Auditorium…6130 Skyline Drive…San Diego, CA 92114 WHO: Open to the public & FREE admission WHY: This is an overlooked issue that is more prevalent than some may think. In fact, by age 50, over 80% of African American women develop fibroids. It has an array of adverse effects that range from heavy bleeding, cramping, infertility, miscarriage, and onset of early labor. We will be discussing ground breaking research, dietary implications, surgery options, and other factors that may remedy this issue. This does not have to be faced alone.
