The Idea

When I woke up on Saturday September 7, 2013, I realized I wanted to make this site free. I felt that with all the Kuumba (creativity) that I possess and the history that my people had to endure all that was needed was a strong focus and a sense of Imani(faith). During my own personal process of trying to cultivate Umoja(unity) in my family and community, I had an idea. I will create a hub where the local Black community can channel Ujamaa(cooperative economics) and Ujima(collective work & responsibility). I think the collective powers of our community can work together and make some real change in the name of kujichagulia(self-determination). This is the Black Business Network and this is our Nia(purpose).
