Our 1st success story happened on Thursday September 26, 2013. We had over 25 black businesses and organizations attend the first Black Business Network community meeting. It was led by Prince Graham(Alpha Omega Summer Camp) and hosted by Diane Moss (Project New Village). The guests were served goodies by local businesses Treat Therapy and Gayle’s Rum Cakes.
It started with a powerful history lesson on black economics and highlighted our great financial history. It also talked about what changed those circumstances. We closed with a group singing of the black national anthem followed by a business mixer that lasted 30mins past the close of the event. This was a packed event, and here are some pictures.
