In July 2018, the actor and comedian was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Elephant Talks: Gentrification @ You Belong Here
Jan 21 @ 7:15 pm

Elephant Talks are about addressing the “elephant” in the room. We tackle important and sometimes difficult equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) topics that far too oftalt=”” width=”686″ height=”960″ class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-6894″ />lved the hope is to come to new levels of understanding and compassion. We are all knowledge holders and through deep, meaningful, guided dialogue we can collectively start to change perspectives, hearts, and minds.

This Month’s Topic: GENTRIFICATION

Gentrification is a process of changing the character of a neighborhood through the influx of more affluent residents and businesses. This is a common and controversial topic in politics and in urban planning. Some see this as fixing a problem while others see it as creating a problem. Voicing your concerns and listening to other’s perspectives at this Elephant Talk provides an excellent opportunity to come up with solutions that revitalize communities without pushing the existing people.
