Transformational Tuesdays @ Online Event
Nov 10 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Motivation.In.Action (MIA) is excited to present our next installment Transformational Tuesdays – A Criminal Justice Reform Speaker Series – featuring our founder and criminal justice reform advocate, Geneviéve Jones-Wright and co-hosts Community Advocates for Just and Moral Governance (MoGo), Law Offices of Scott Dreher, San Diego Housing Emergency Alliance (HEMA), Social and Economic Vulnerabilities Initiative (SEVI), and Think Dignity.
Join us for a special screening of “Push” –– a “timely” film that asks the question: “Who are cities for, who’s going to live in them, and how will they function when only the rich are there?”
“Push” follows UN Special Rapporteur on Housing, Leilani Farha, on her quest to understand who’s getting squeezed, who’s getting rich and why housing has become one of today’s most pressing world issues.
Following the feature presentation, we will have an interactive discussion with Leilani Farha –– who visited San Diego in August 2019 to examine firsthand the conditions of homelessness in this city –– and Mitchelle Woodson-Think Dignity, Executive Director of Think Dignity. The discussion will be moderated by yours truly as part of MIA’s “Transformational Tuesdays” series.
Cost should not be a barrier to participation, so we have made a limited number of **FREE** tickets available. If you can afford to purchase a $6 ticket or further support our efforts to bring “Push” to the San Diego community with a donation, we’d be grateful.
