What’s #BlackMRX Chat? Think of it as a monthly industry networking group organized around our shared ethnic identity and profession in the insights and research spaces.
We invite professionals and students who identify as African American, Black, or of African or Caribbean descent in the insights spaces to join a monthly, private group discussion where we build community while talking about issues of importance to us as black and brown individuals.
In each session, we’ll chat about a specific topic while leaving time for open discussion and networking.
December 2 Agenda: To be announced
You do not need to be a QRCA member to participate. And #BlackMRX Chat isn’t just for consumer researchers – whether you’re a UX researcher or a sociology grad student, a strategist at an ad agency or a research consultant, client-side marketer, an academic or you work at a focus group facility, we look forward to connecting and building a supportive Black community with you.
See you soon,

Discover the hidden cost of being Black in America.
In this highly acclaimed book, The Black Tax, Shawn Rochester shows how The Black Tax (which is the financial cost of conscious and unconscious anti-black discrimination), creates a massive financial burden on Black American households that dramatically reduces their ability to leave a substantial legacy for future generations. Los Angeles Black Professionals is honored to host Mr. Rochester for a presentation & discussion about The Black Tax and what can be done about it. Mr. Rochester will deliver the following:
Explain the concept of The Black Tax in a paradigm-shifting, data-driven, and fact-based manner.
Quantify the historical cost of discrimination against Black people in America and explain how that led to Black people owning only about 2% of US wealth.
Introduce a new economic framework to help create the millions of jobs and businesses that are missing in the Black community.
This is a discussion about wholesaling real estate in San Diego. Hear from wholesalers, legal & construction professionals with experience.
We are hosting a webinar discussion centered around the distressed ownership and property market. We want to provide more resolutions than just buying your property. Specifically, we want to put you in touch with a mortgage professional when it makes sense.
Join us on Wednesday, December 16 at 6:30pm PST to discuss options when people are getting behind on payments and ways to keep their equity.
