This edition of Economic Development Ministry’s Small Business Symposium, organized on the occasion of debuting the incorporation of ten new companies, will take place on September 30, 2017 in Mira Mesa California from 1pm – 6pm.
Eighteen days before the four year anniversary of the incorporation of EDM, this Small Business Symposium (SMS) is the ideal moment to debut the accomplishments of entrepreneurs we’ve supported both locally and across the country, and support them and others in the next steps to take to make their business more competitive and innovative.
SBS wants to play an active role in the three E’s: Encouragement, Education, and Execution. The challenge is to exchange views and to move entrepreneurs forward from decision-making to delivery.
The goals of the SBS are:

To provide our business debutants, as we proudly call them, with the platform to showcase who they are and what they do to a room of other professionals

To improve companies’ knowledge of commonly overlooked improvements such as positioning for government money, gauging customer service with lawful protection, business thinking

To create a climate for dialogue with other small business professionals

To provide the opportunity to network and build a network with other professionals in an environment that has been stoked with the stimulation of new ideas and the shared experience of other active and productive companies.
