Unfiltered: No Mask, Just Me. A Showcase and Benefit for Camp AART @ The Dojo Cafe
Oct 30 @ 5:15 pm

This Halloween, join us as we spend an evening bravely facing the thing that haunts us all the most…the truth.

The SOULcial Workers Present… Unfiltered: No Mask, Just Me.
A Showcase and Benefit for Camp AART. Enjoy Live performances and interactive activities, food, DJ, and so much more!

This showcase, created by an amazing CAST of young artist from Camp AART, will engage attendees in authentic conversation about mental health through artistry and storytelling. Camp AART is and educational arts program working to prevent suicide by restoring relationships through creative youth development.

Be there as we set the stage for a dramatic change in the way we think and speak about suicide, mental health and other important issues that live in the dark. This season we are addressing fear and shame, exploring their relationship to mental health, and the role they play in preventing us from seeking support before it’s too late.

We invite to come out and experience this thrilling event. Support the incredible work of our young artist, eat and dance the night away!

Honestly, The only thing to be afraid of… is missing out!

Data Driven: Advancing Racial Justice & Police Accountability (ACLU SD) @ UDW/AFSCME
Dec 3 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

We have a right to know how law enforcement interacts with our communities. The public should be able to trust that when an officer stops a person, it is for a legitimate and justifiable reason. However, officers entrusted to enforce our laws disproportionately stop, question and search Black and brown people in our community.

Please plan to attend our upcoming event, Data Driven: Advancing Racial Justice & Police Accountability in San Diego on Tuesday, December 3, for an analysis of policing practices in the San Diego region.

On December 3, the ACLU of San Diego & Imperial Counties will release a commissioned report that analyzes traffic and pedestrian stop data from the San Diego Police Department and San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

You are invited to attend a special event to learn about this new report and to explore ways to address racially-biased policing, reduce police violence, improve accountability and make San Diego safer and more just for all.

The report’s author, Samuel Sinyangwe, data scientist and co-founder of Campaign Zero, will present on the report’s findings and recommendations.
