Bishop T.D. Jakes will be joining Pastor Miles on Saturday, November 11 to share a bit about his new book, SOAR! and sign copies!
In SOAR! T.D. Jakes reveals how to build the uniquely personal vision within each of us into our special contribution to the world. Blending the practical business acumen of a successful, global CEO with the dynamic inspiration of a life coach, SOAR! provides the tools needed to ignite our imaginations into action and challenges us to embrace our God-given purpose as we align our character and creativity with our careers.
Bridging both the corporate and nonprofit worlds, SOAR! is a practical and easy-to-follow flight plan for launching the entrepreneurial drive inside each of us. It provides an inspiring look into the mindset of people who don’t wait to see what will happen but strategically build the wings that will take them to new heights. So buckle your seat belts and prepare for liftoff-you have been cleared to fly beyond your fears, to absolutely SOAR!
This community event will look at how Accessory Dwelling Unit’s (ADU’s), Tiny Home Villages, and Modular housing can help address San Diego County’s homelessness and housing affordability crisis. For more info please check out our website and sign up to be on our email list!
The Western Region’s premiere business conference highlighting diversity in tech, entertainment, and entrepreneurship….
As the job market is becoming increasingly competitive, local non-profit creates a solution for students and professional to get their foot in the door. The Western Regional Diversity Conference 2017, appropriately nicknamed The Diversity Conference or WRDC is a 2-day conference that highlights workplace diversity and inclusion. With expectations of over 500 attendees, WRDC has constructed an impressive agenda that includes an experiential case study competition, business pitch competition, over 30 panels and workshops, networking parties, and a tech exhibit and career fair utilizing Bluetooth Beacons for a more interactive experience.
Through October 26th-27th, WRDC has invited college students and professionals throughout California, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Washington, Oregon & Colorado to attend this event. Hosted at the beautiful California Center for the Arts in the Greater San Diego Area, attendees will have the opportunity to network with investors, government and corporate contractors, fortune 500 companies and small business, student and professional associations, and other groups who believe that diversity and inclusion are key to building sustainable communities.
“I wanted to build an event that attendees can walk away from and become inspired and motivated,” says project director Elizabeth Cotton. “People’s’ differences can be seen as an advantage, whether they are climbing corporate America or striving to be an entrepreneur.”
This year WRDC will focus on three tracks that include Diversity in Tech, Entertainment, and Entrepreneurship. WRDC has secured over 50 inspirational guest speakers including John Cabeca, the Director of the US Patent & Trademark Office for Silicon Valley, Ashok Kamal, the Executive Director for Tech Coast Angels, Jace Hall, the Co-Owner of E-Sports Powerhouse Team Echo Fox, and Frankie Ingrassia, Actress and Pit Producer for Coachella, just to name a few!

*In the “Visual Love Corner”, paint peaceful healing art to take home with you, guided by gifted painter and muralist Kim Phillips; Learn to tie waist beads (the ultimate self-love gift that keeps on giving, 24/7/365), and get your own pair from the Motherland (!); while supplies last, visual art available for $10 per piece.
