As we commemorate 52’ years of advocacy in the North County, the North San Diego County branch of the NAACP celebrates its Annual Blue & Gold Freedom Fund Awards Gala held at the Carlsbad Sheraton 5480 Grand Pacific Dr., Carlsbad, CA 92008 on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 7:00 pm. The 2017 National Day of Empowerment Theme is, ‘The New Black Wall Street: Learning from the past, building a legacy for the future.’ The San Diego Young Professionals will be holding their own National Day of Empowerment on November 18th focusing on land and property, to coincide with this years theme of Black Wall Street.
What is the National Day of Empowerment(NDOE)?
National Day of Empowerment (NDOE) was created to provide NULYP chapters with a platform to partner with their National Urban league Council of Guilds Chapters. YP Chapters at affiliates with active Guilds will engage and partner with their Guild in the planning and/or execution of NDOE 2017.
Come join Author Ashley Nicole as she shares her journey and process to becoming a nationally acclaimed poetic entrepreneur! She will be sharing tips and tools that aided her in building her platform and monetizing the spoken word. There will be a surprise giveaway to early arrivals, a free raffle ticket upon entry and take away materials. You won’t want to miss this once in a lifetime premier event!!!
