As we commemorate 52’ years of advocacy in the North County, the North San Diego County branch of the NAACP celebrates its Annual Blue & Gold Freedom Fund Awards Gala held at the Carlsbad Sheraton 5480 Grand Pacific Dr., Carlsbad, CA 92008 on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 7:00 pm. We invite you to join us as we honor the selfless efforts of those who’ve contributed to the betterment of this community.

The success of our organization’s outreach efforts to empower this community and eliminate disparities is largely dependent upon businesses like yours. As we celebrate this year’s honorees, we employ you to seize this opportunity and support us in our endeavors to make a difference one challenge at a time.

Resilience Conference – An answer to address Community Trauma @ Valencia Park/Malcolm X Library

Please join us in viewing “Resilience: The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope” (A TUGG Film) then participate in the conversation as we analyze the affects that trauma has on our youth’s resilience and how it effects our community.

The daily trauma on our children and adults experience effects our health, learning ability, and safety. Come hear about Community Trauma and how WE can address it.

Casa del Rey Moro Tour hosted by NAACP San Diego branch ACT-SO program

Take a world tour through 6000 years of African world history with the NAACP San Diego branch ACT-SO program! The house of the Moorish King is open to visitors for a thorough education (or re-education) of the rich history of Africa and its contribution to today’s society right in beautiful Old Town.

This tour will take place in 2 parts. One part through the museum and the other through Old Town. A light snack will be provided prior to the event and dinner offered following the tours. Get your name on the list ASAP to have your door fee, snack, and dinner covered by the NAACP.

Though our scholarship program targets African-American high school students, people of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to join us! Don’t worry about materials; all supplies will be provided and distributed after a quick lunch to start off the class.
