Cafe X: By Any Beans Necessary Grand Opening
Aug 30 @ 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

This is the official launch of Café X: By Any Beans Necessary, a worker-owned cooperative coffee shop in San Diego, CA. We are not your average coffee shop. Book clubs including non-Eurocentric literature; poetry readings; peer-to-peer language mentoring; writing programs and exchanges; a loan-to-own and lending program for books; organic coffee obtained through direct relationships; and so much more – will all be amenities available to Café X: By Any Beans Necessary visitors. This project celebrates the richness of our culture, using it as the foundation of our mission and purpose. By doing business differently, we maximize the creative freedom of our member-owners, address whole person and community wellness, and keep money flowing within our community.

A portion of proceeds from food and beverages will benefit our two co-located nonprofit organizations Urban Restoration Counseling Center and Open Heart Leaders.
