THERE ARE TWO SHOWS: 6 PM and 9 PMImage may contain: one or more people, hat and closeupOver the course of a career spanning 30 years, Cedric the Entertainer has solidified his status as one of the world’s premier performers. In July 2018, the actor and comedian was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Just months later, in December 2018,  Cedric’s hometown of St Louis, Missouri named a street in his honor, Cedric The Entertainer Way, in recognition of his far-reaching career achievements and dedicated philanthropy.

In addition to starring in and executive producing TV’s #1 new comedy, THE NEIGHBORHOOD, Cedric also currently co-stars in the hit comedy “The Last O.G.” Additional television credits include “The Soul Man,” a comedy series Cedric co-created, executive produced and starred in for five seasons; “The Steve Harvey Show,” for which Cedric won four consecutive NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy; the sketch comedy series “Cedric the Entertainer Presents” nabbing the AFTRA Award of Excellence; and Disney’s animated “The Proud Family,” which earned him an NAACP Image Award. Also noteworthy, he hosted the 12th season of the syndicated game show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.”

Additionally, his vocal talents are showcased in the top-ranking “Madagascar” and “Disney’s Planes” animated franchises. Most recently, Cedric earned critical acclaim for his dramatic performance in the Oscar-nominated feature, “First Reformed,” starring Ethan Hawke and Amanda Seyfried.

Jazz at the Creek is back and bringing a dose of entertainment and legendary artists with musical classics from the genres of jazz, funk and R&B to the stage. After a season marked by social distancing and social unrest, a return to normalcy is welcomed. But in the aftermath of one of the most heralding times in modern history, we’re making it a point to acknowledge the selfless dedication of our “first responders” on the front line from nurses, doctors, delivery and food service workers, educators, law enforcement, nonprofit agencies, health and human service agencies.

What began as a concert with a purpose remains and at the heart of this fantastic jazz experience is a purpose. Jazz with a PURPOSE. That is the theme and goal of this event. Please take a moment to click on the sidebar and further inform yourself about the cause that we are supporting and what this concert series is really all about – giving back to the community. So come out, bring a friend or two, relax and enjoy knowing that you are a part of something that is truly wonderful and fulfilling.

Outside food and beverages, and animals are not allowed inside the venue. You may bring your lawn chair for General Admission seating. Parking is available at the Jacobs Center at 404 Euclid Ave, San Diego, CA 92114 (when parking behind the Jacobs Center, walk across the red walk-bridge to the Amphitheater).
