Col. John C. Robinson was the first African American aviator licensed in the US, the first African American aviation instructor in America. He taught the first African American women pilots in America and the first Ethiopian women pilots. It was his idea that gave birth to the famous Tuskegee Airmen of WWII fame. Known as the “Brown Condor of Ethiopia,” he became an international hero and legend fighting against Mussolini’s fascism in Ethiopia in 1935.
